VIDEO: Possible Bomb Threat in Park Slope, Deemed Safe

Authorities investigate after 911 caller reports unconfirmed incident

BROOKLYN, New York — At approximately 11:44 AM EDT today, police responded to a possible bomb threat at a local building at 8th Avenue and 10th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Emergency services units were dispatched to the scene, and a level one mobilization was called in regards to a possible explosive device in the area.

The NYPD Bomb Squad arrived on scene at approximately 12:22 PM EDT and began a search of the building. At approximately 12:52 PM EDT, the Bomb Squad determined that there was no threat at the location.

Authorities have not yet released any information about the nature of the bomb threat or the identity of the person who made it. However, they have stated that the investigation is ongoing.
